Within minutes, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and Grayson Highlands State Park offer outstanding opportunities for horseback riding. Horses are welcome on more than 150 miles of multiple user trails including New River, Virginia Creeper, and the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail.

Trout fishing is excellent in the smaller tributaries, which are stocked regularly with rainbow and brown trout. Just want to fish for fun?
